Classic Apartment for Rent
About the project
One of the studio’s first projects, this is an apartment for long-term rent in the historic centre of Kyiv. The task was to create a versatile interior with a character of its own — one that could serve as a setting for the lives of different tenants.
White walls, plaster mouldings, decorative doors and oak herringbone parquet form a classical backdrop. Contemporary furniture in deep blue, graphite and burgundy adds contrast while keeping the overall composition restrained. The clean lines of the kitchen and storage balance the decorative details.
The main feature of the living room is the original brickwork by the balcony door. We preserved and restored the handmade bricks, leaving part of the building’s history visible. Their uneven texture contrasts with the smooth white walls and underlines the link between the interior and the architecture of the house.
A brass range hood and pendant lights above the dining table add warm metallic accents to the palette. Combining historic elements with contemporary furniture gave the rental apartment a distinct character without excessive decoration.
